As a Senator, Ron helped me "out of the blue" one day when he spoke with me concerning my political future. He never met me before that moment and he had no knowledge of my politics. This was my 1998 re-election campaign and he spoke about a dramatic turn of events was coming in a week's time. He said the election was going to be won by me and at the time I was being assaulted with negative advertising by my opponent. It looked bad. Within a week, I stumbled upon a low-cost effective way to defend myself to my constituents and my supporters rallied on Election Day - I won by ten points! - He has helped me in victory and defeat and I look forward to his insights and partnership in the future.
